Company Letter or calendar header, 5.5 x 3.5 inches, includes uncut
pair with 1 fully printed and 1/2 of a second advertising note Printed
on silk. Unique format for this type of item. This note was also found
on calendar headers printed on card, Dark brown. Also included is a
small calendar header with ABNC Screaming Eagle, VF to AU condi-

Stamp Proof Trio.
New York, Lot of 3 stamps. ND (ca.1858-
1860’s). Essay stamp proofs, one in brown, one in blue-green and
one in rust. All are similar to the 1860’s essay issues by ABNC. Small
borders. Stamp design is unlisted in Scott Catalog. Printed on india
paper. “A”-”B”-”N”-”C” in all 4 corners as well as American Bank
Note Company, New York above and below portrait of Washington
facing left. The blue-green stamp has a stain on the right border, the

National BNC.
Sing Sing, New York, ND (ca. 1860’s), 7.5 x 5.5 inch-
es, printed in black on india paper, portrait of Brandreth in middle
flanked by ovals with information about the use and benefit of his
pills. This label also ties into Match and Medicine Revenue Stamps
which include stamps from Brandreth. The label would have been in
XF condition, but a small piece is missing from the middle right bor-
der, still very rare and possibly unique. From one of the amazing box
lots sold by Christie’s at the June 1991 ABN Auction. National BNC
