The text translates to: “Comrade Liu Liyang, with a party of 1, is going to Juncun Village for pawning. This pass will expire by the end of day and no extension is allowed. Issued by Liu Caiming, Jan 31st 1934.” A red seal of the local soviet government is present. The main picture on the right side is to small to be identified. The denomination is on the left. Printing date is shown at the bottom. The two seals are from the county government and the Bureau of Finances. The text on the back means “good for all public and private debts”. 山西省岢嵐縣財政局兌換券一元，發行於1939年6月。正面主景圖案難以辨認。下方有“民國二十八年六月”。兩枚印章為“縣政所印”與“財政局印”。背面文字為“公私款項一律通用”。 �� Est. $130-250 168 168 1939 Lan County Bureau of Finances temporary exchange note 1 yuan. 1939 年嵐縣財政局臨時兌換券壹圓 China, A 1 yuan temporary exchange note issued by the Bureau of Finances in Lan County, Shanxi Province in May 1939. The main picture is a pavilion, and the denomination is on the left. The serial number D003337 is hand written. The two seals on both sides are the county name and the seals at the bottom are of the chair and head of the office of the Bureau of Finances. The text on the back describes the regulations of the issuance, with the signature and seal of the county governor. 山西省嵐縣財政局臨時兌換券壹圓，1939年發行。正面主景圖案為亭子，左側有壹圓面值。流水號D03337為手寫。兩側有紅色“嵐縣”印章，底部印章為局長與主任之印。背面文字為發行流通辦法，后有縣長簽字與印章。 �� Est. $130-250 169 169 China Saving Association Saving Certificate, 5 Yuan, 1932. 中華儉德會分期撥還儉德儲蓄會儲金券五元1932年 China, 5 Yuan saving certificate issued by China Saving Association in Nov. 1932, with a serial number of 0002 and a half official seal on the left. Another steel embossed seal is chopped on the center of the note. The description in the center states that this note is eligible for early cashing, but cashing of this note will be determined by lottery. The back is blank.
