1, ITASB Civil War Confederate General Fitzhugh Lee as president. VF

condition. Lee was a Confederate cavalry general in the American Civil

War, the 40th Governor of Virginia, diplomat, and United States Army

general in the Spanish–American War. He was the son of Sydney Smith

Lee, a captain in the Confederate States Navy, and the nephew of General

Robert E. Lee. Scarce Civil War Signature on stock certificate. Also

includes photograph and cigar label with Fitzhugh Lee’s photograph.

Francisco, CA. 1 Share, I/U, Black with light green under print, eagle top

middle, arms bottom, counterfoil with U.S.I.R. stamp, Issued to George

Treat and signed by Thomas Mooney as president. Mooney’s bank was

the first of several to fail in 1870 due to mis-management, his gambling

habits, illegal stock purchases and other unsavory practices. Mooney left

for a vacation to the orient and never came back which began a run on all

of the San Francisco banks. Rare and historic California stock certificate.
