large role in the consolidation of the criminal underworld. Lansky was

never found guilty of anything more serious than illegal gambling, He

has a legacy of being the most powerful gangster in American History.

John Alden Van Campen, payable to his mother in one sum. Front page

features the American bald eagle at the top, and several vignettes on the

side, such as a zeppelin, ship, truck, submarine, a biplane, military camp,
