California. 1889. Specimen bond. $1000. 1st Mortgage 5% Gold

Coupon Bond. Green border and undertint. Locomotive #15 with man

standing next to it. Coupons attached. Red specimen overprint, “00000”

serial numbers and POC’s. XF condition. This is the second example

offered in over 8 years. The previous example, also a specimen was

offered by my company 8 years ago and is the plate bond pictured in

and Alexander Mackie as Secretary, both well known railroad industry

notables who each have interesting life stories. Attractive and historic
