Ohio. Specimen. 1881, $1000, 8% Secured

by Rolling Stock Gold Coupon Bond, Horizontal bond, Black with red

under print, Locomotive passing telegraph wires with harbor scene

behind on top right, POC’s, VF condition. ABNC, Only 3 found in the

archives. Unlisted Bond variety in Cox. ����������������������������������������Est.

1110Valley Railway Co., 1879, Ohio Specimen Bond Rarity.

Cleveland,

Ohio. $100, 1st Mortgage 7% Coupon Gold Bond, Specimen, Black

without under print, locomotive passing cattle with harbor scene behind

it, bottom with Ohio arms, Specimen overprints, POCs, Extremely

attractive and in VF condition for a bond from this era. Unlisted railroad

in Cox and this is the only example found in the archives. ABNC. Very

few bonds from the 1870’s were found in the archives and most of the

examples that were found had tears, stains and damage. ������������Est.

1111Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad Co., 1882 Specimen Bond.

Ohio, $1000 2nd Mortgage Sinking Fund 7% Coupon Bond, Specimen,

Black printing without under print, Locomotive passing steamboat in

background, ornate border with cherubs at top left and right, POC’s,

Dated “April 5/(18)82, “Return to Issue Room” overprinted in purple

on back, No specimen overprints, VF condition with a small 4mm stain

in the upper left area, attractive bond. Listed railroad, but unlisted as

a bond, only as a stock certificate. Unique in archives. This is the only

example we have ever seen and the only one available. ���������������Est.

1112Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway Co., 1917 Specimen Registered Bond Trio.

Ohio, Lot of 3 bonds from same series but different

denominations. Includes $1000, Red; $5000, Purple and $10,000, blue.

All are Series “B” bonds, Specimen Registered Refunding Mortgage 5%

Gold Bonds. All with same design of Train #258 passing factory. VF to

XF condition with folds as made. No coupons. Unlisted as a registered

bond in Cox, only as a coupon bond. ABNC.�������������������������������Est.
