Shanghai, China, Lot of 2 similar notes,

Includes 5 cents and 20 cents, P-Unlisted, S/M# Unlisted, Issued scrip

note pair, both are black on light orange with red serial numbers, back

blank, EF-AUwith stamp hinge remnants on back, The U.S. Marine Corp.

4th Regiment was stationed in Shanghai from 1927 until November

1941 when they were moved to the Philippines. They participated with

the U.S. Army and Filipino units during the epic siege of Bataan and

Corregidor and finally surrendered to the Japanese in May of 1942 and

having to endure 3 years as POW’s. Historic Military Scrip Note pair.
