713 Banco Mercantil Mexicano, ND (1882) Proof Face and Back Banknote Pair.

Mexico. 10 Pesos, Ser. A, P-S244p M284p, uniface

obverse and reverse proofs printed on india paper mounted on thin

card that is cut down to banknote size. The face is Black on light

green, anchor at left, seated allegorical woman at right, back red-

brown, The face is PMG graded Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ and the

back Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ, Rare note in any condition

and form. ABNC.This is the only proof graded in the PMG census and

it will be very difficult to improve upon. ABNC.����������������Est.

Banknotes.

Merida, Mexico. 500 Pesos, No Ser., P-S472p M569p,

uniface obverse and reverse proofs printed on india paper that is

unmounted, The face is Black on light olive brown, Cherub at left,

Steamship at right, The face is PMG graded Choice Uncirculated

63 and the back 62 NET with note of tears in the top border

and previously mounted, Rare note in any condition and form.

Probably the only affordable way to ever own an example of this

amazing note. ABNC. This is the only note graded in the PMG

715 Bono De Caja, El Banco Comercial Refaccionario De Chihuahua ND (1902) Specimen Circulating Bond/Banknote.

Chihuahua,

Mexico. ND (ca.1902), Ser. A. 1000 Pesos, P-Unlisted, Specimen

Bono De Caja banknote. Black and red on light green undertint

with reclining allegorical woman with steamship at dock with train,

back green. There is a single coupon for $25 on the right border with

dates from 1907 to 1918. Red specimen overprint, POC and “00000”

serial numbers. The text has a blank space for the interest amount.

PMG graded Choice Uncirculated 64, ABNC. Rare “Bono De Caja”

circulating bond-banknote. ��������������������������������������������Est.

Uncirculated 66 EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality). Rare note that is

in exceptional condition and will be difficult to improve upon and

a trophy for any Mexico collector. Tied as finest known with only 2
