(ca.1850’s). 50 cents, Ser. A, P-Unlisted. Unissued remainder obso-
lete banknote, black with no underprint, seated allegorical reaper
on left, Payable “In Gold Dust”, the note has been backed to rein-
force the fragile paper that was splitting, but there are only very
small edge faults on the bottom and top and the note is still very
attractive and is missing from most advanced collections. The note
would grade Good to Good+ with faults. Rare note in any grade and
almost impossible to find anything from this time period from the
California Gold Rush Era. ...........................................

to one page, Includes $1; $2 and $5, Haxby IN-520-G2a; G4a; G6a,
all attractively hand colored, All 3 are mounted on a page from an
old account book of evidently bad bills, They possibly could be
soaked, but this seems more interesting as is. They appear XF to AU
