Turkey, ND (ca,1920-30’s). Proof vignette of this famous
Turkish leader. Printed in black on india paper. Bottom has
“Mustapha Kemal Pacha - V-68679 - American Bank Note
Company” imprint. Paper clip mark with small remnant of rust on
upper left, otherwise XF to AU condition. Evidently a design used for
some fiscal purpose or was possibly considered for a banknote
design that was not used. Rare proof from ABNC

“Specimen” over print in Turkish in middle and pin punch
“Cancelled” bottom middle, the note appears uncirculated at first
glance but there are 2 light vertical folds on the right and middle of
the note which relegates this lovely note to Choice XF to AU condi-
tion. Rare note in any condition and unpriced as specimen in
