2633 Georgia Colonial “1777 No Resolution Date” Issue Banknote,
Blue Green Series.
Georgia, 1777, $13 Spanish Milled Dollars, P-
S803, Issued, S/N 614, Liberty cap on lower right, Another very
interesting denomination in this Blue-Green Seal Series. The note
appears a solid VF but for three short edge splits whose repair is only
noticed on the reverse; also a bit darkened on the upper and lower
edges of the reverse where the piece was once mounted into an
album then carefully removed. The note gives the appearance of a
$4,000 piece from the front. Worth at least half that with the
described reverse issues. Catalogs in Newman $3750 VF.

gins, Newman stated this issue was used to support Continental
troops. Priced in Newman at $4,750 in XF, unpriced in this superb

2351, Strong, clear seal depicts a millstone crushing the top of a
palm tree with bird perched to the right. The Latin motto thereon is
translated: After being crushed it rises. This piece is a very clean VF

denomination carries the design of a Liberty Cap, cornucopia and
caduceus. The seal is sharp and clear, Nice margins, totally problem
free. XF and worth catalog value of $3750, perhaps more with its
spectacular sharp clear seal and its overall aesthetics. The seal on
the note bears a sentiment so appropriate for the time translated:
