Philippines, Lot of 2 notes. Both are 5

Centavo, P-125 Color Trial essay banknotes by Security BNC. Both are

uniface specimen faces. Both measure 108 x 53 mm’s and have black

frames, one has light blue underprint with date “4-14-51” on top left

“5 FP 7” on top right and the other has light green underprint with

date “4-14-51” and “5 FP 18” on top margin. Both with POC’s and

red specimen overprints, “00000” serial numbers. Backs have line for

approval signatures otherwise blank. Choice to Gem Uncirculated. Rare

Philippines, ND (1949), 50 Pesos, P-Unlisted (PMG graded

as P-138pe), Unlisted front Proof printed by Security BNC instead of

TDLR as listed in SCWPM. The note also has security fibers on the right

1/2 of the note that is missing from the TDLR issues. Upper left corner

has the date printed in the margin in small letters “6-24-54” and on the

right “50F-BN 25620A” which is the SBNC ID #. Portrait of Luna on left.

PMG graded About Uncirculated 50- EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality).

Philippines, Lot of 3 items, Includes a philatelic First Day Cover

postmarked April 16, 1945 at the Manila Post Office. Also includes 2

different cancelled Treasurer of the Philippine Islands checks dated 1909

and 1910. General Ware Lawton’s portrait at left, the only U.S. general

officer to be killed during the Philippine-American War. BEP Printing.
