91 Bank of Communications, 1914 Uniface Front and Back Specimen

Banknotes.

China, 10 Yuan, P-118s S/M#C126-117, Uniface specimen

pair, Red, Bank building on top middle, blue and black English and

Chinese Specimen Overprints and Punched out letters, Both front

and back are PMG graded Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ, backs have blue

specimen overprints and blue handstamps dated 1936, Rare notes in this

92 Bank of Communications, 1941 Issue, Proof Vignette With

Zeppelin.

China, 1941, Proof vignette used on 25 Yuan, P-160, 1941

Issue, Zeppelin with power generator, train and steamship. Proof printed

on india paper titled “Power Transformation - V-70534 - American Bank

Note Company”. Virtually uncirculated except for a couple of very small

corner bends. Impressive proof vignette of this popular aviation topic.

93 Bank of Communications, 1927 First Issue Discovery Issue “Tsintau” Branch Rarity.

Tsingtau, China. 1927, 20 cents, P-143Aa,

S/M#C126-181b, Blue face with steamship on left and locomotive on

right, back orange-yellow with black English signatures, the b;ue color

variety is unlisted in a 20 cent denomination, only as a 10 cent note.

Evidently it was given a new catalog number by PMG but they made a

mistake with the Smith Matravers catalog number. PMG graded Very

Good 10 with no edge faults, just toning, still the note has bright colors

and will enhance any advanced collection. This is the only graded note

in the PMG census and is extremely rare if not unique. W&S. �Est.

94 Central Bank of China Uncut Approval Proof Pair of Banknotes.

China, 1948. P-360 Unlisted. 5000 CGU’s. Uniface front and back proofs

as uncut horizontal pairs. Both are upper right corner pairs with large

margins on 2 sides. The face is printed on thin white paper, the back is

printed on thicker planchetted security banknote paper. AU to Choice

uncirculated condition. SBNC. Rare in this format.���������������������Est.
