Production Proof Quartet.
Lot of 4 proofs, all are 1922 issues
printed in black on india paper mounted on production file sheets,
Includes $5; $10; $50; and, $100, P-S152A to P-S152D. The proofs
are partial pulls from the bottom 1/2 of the note, with the designs
fading out as you get close to the upper edge. These are not notes
that were cut in 1/2 but intentionally printed this way. These proofs
were used to evaluate the text printing of the bottom of the note.
Unique in the American Bank Note Archive in this format. All are AU
to CU with light glue stains. Rare banknotes in any form
