The Colorado and Southern Railway (C&S), founded in 1898, operated in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico, serving mining towns and agricultural areas with both narrow and standard-gauge tracks. Known for its scenic mountain routes, the C&S became part of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad in 1908.
