Introduction to the Sale Foreword On behalf of the entire Archives International Auctions team, I would like to personally welcome you to our 97th auction. We are excited to offer 512 lots of rare and desirable U.S., Chinese, & Worldwide Banknotes, Coins, Scripophily, U.S. Colonial Banknotes & Fiscal Documents, Historic Ephemera, and Security Printing Ephemera. The auction will be held over one day and include 235 lots of world banknotes including over 51 lots of Chinese banknotes and Scripophily; 27 lot of U.S. Colonial Banknotes and Colonial Fiscal Documents; 30 lots of U.S. banknotes; 44 lots of Historic Ephemera and Security Printing Ephemera; 17 lots of Checks & Drafts, and Philatelic Material; 11 Lots of ABN Numismatic and Philatelic Souvenir Cards, and, 115 lots of U.S. and World Scripophily featuring railroads, mining, banking & finance, historic bonds & shares, and numerous other topics with many highlights too numerous to mention. There are dozens of items included in this auction that have never been offered previously for sale, including amazing World banknotes, as well as a large group of Colonial Connecticut Fiscal Documents that have resided in long term collections or archives. We will be holding our 98th auction toward the end of October.
