Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1876 Copper centennial medal - So called dollar, 38.1mm, SH 2-46 CU, HK-27, Dark chocolate bronze with lightly marked fields and strong strike. Independence hall on obverse and Liberty Bell on reverse. Uncirculated to Choice Uncirculated condition. The smaller Liberty Bell no star variety is considerably scarcer than the star variety. Struck from totally different but similar dies, notably the no star variety has hash marks along the perimeter whereas the star variety has a beaded border.
