Introduction to the Sale Foreword Greetings from the entire Archives International Auctions team! It is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you as we embark on our 96th auction, marking our 6th event of the year 2024. We’re thrilled to present 343 lots comprising rare and coveted U.S., Chinese, & Worldwide Banknotes, Chinese, U.S., and World Coins, Scripophily, and Historic and Security Printing Ephemera. Additionally, we are privileged to showcase additional selections and rare numismatic pieces sourced from various estates and longstanding collections, many of which are making their debut appearance at auction. Our auction will span a single day and feature a diverse array of items: 97 lots of world banknotes, 117 lots of Chinese Empire, Provincial, and Republic coins; 8 lots of U.S. Coins; 16 lots of U.S. Colonial Fiscal Documents, and Obsolete banknotes; 15 lots of Historic Ephemera and Security Printing Ephemeral; the event will culminate with 54 lots of U.S. and World Scripophily, encompassing themes such as railroads, mining, banking & finance, historic bonds & shares, and more. Among these treasures are numerous highlights, many of which have never been available for purchase previously along with a plethora of other Fiscal Documents and banknotes from esteemed collections and archives.
