Only 4 other examples have been offered at auction since 2017, this being the fifth, also, only 4 previous examples have been graded in the PMG census. British Military Authority notes were originally issued in 1943 for use by British troops in North Africa. One pound notes with BULGARIA, FRANCE, & GREECE overprinted were prepared but not issued. This note with BULGARIA overprinted is one of 25 similar prepared notes which were never issued. (ex.
