None have been offered at auction previously of this note. Rare and desirable, even in this grade. Lot of 2 Issued Banknotes, Includes: 1 Yuan, P-S2029 S/M#H167-10, Brown on green underprint with pair of Peacocks at top and Chinese writing on back, S/N 06293, PMG Very Fine 20 with comment “Paper Pulls;” 5 Yuan P-S2030 S/M#H167-11, Brown on green underprint with Peacocks at top and Chinese writing on back, S/N Unknown, PMG Choice Fine 15 with comments “Paper Damage & Tape.” (2). The 1 Yuan note has only 3 notes grading higher in the PMG census and this is the highest graded example to be offered at public auction. The 5 Yuan example has only 12 notes graded in the PMG census. Both are rare and desirable.
