Lot of 5 proof and Specimen items from the ABNC Archives, Includes: Micro-Printed Declaration of Independence Ornate Proof with Arms of the original 13 states and portraits of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington (engraved in the 1840s; ABNC Ornate package label in teal, with logo at center with eagle that is dated October 1943; 2 different USBN Sample Color Proof/Specimen in “SC-21 Ochre,” and in “SC-13 Red,” intaglio printed; Society of Paper Money Collectors, Inc., 1857 (Reprinted 1984), Specimen souvenir card intaglio reprint from the original plates of Bank of the State of Indiana, $100 Banknote. Lot of 6 Progress Transition Proof Vignettes printed in black on india paper on large thin white card beginning with the vignette first used on certificates for Arden-Mayfair, Inc., of a woman standing in the clouds and how the initial vignette was repurposed to be used on The General & American Oil Company of Texas, which the series demonstrates as the engravings evolved over 5 additional proofs as the engravers slowly added the designs to convert the initial allegorical woman in clouds to the General American Oil Co. of Texas. Each proof has notes by the engravers with changes made to woman in the Vignette. All are Unc. to Gem Uncirculated. (6).
