Archives International Auctions - The Huntsville Collection 1 November 21, 2023 Archives International Auctions Arkansas Berryville - Berryville is one of the county seats of Carroll County and is a city located in the Ozark mountains. The area was settled in the 1830s and was an established town by the 1850s. Like a few other cities in Arkansas, Berryville was inhabited by Confederate and Union forces at different points during the Civil War. Guerillas targeted Berryville throughout the period, and by the war’s end, much of the town was burned. Berryville slowly rebuilt itself and is known for education and agriculture today. 1 1 Berryville, Arkansas. 1862 $2 Obsolete Scrip Note. Berryville, Arkansas.
