New York, Texas, Vermont and Pennsylvania. 1840-1860s (Reprinted ca.1980-90s), Uncut sheet of 4 different intaglio proof obsolete banknotes. They were never released in this format but were cut down to banknote size notes for mounting in the ABN Commemoratives Obsolete Banknote Collection (Approximately 20 to 30 different Notes). All are intaglio printed from original plates on thin white card stock with the ABN attestation printed on the back. The notes on this sheet include: New York, Staten Island Bank, $1000; North Carolina, All are in Choice to Gem Uncirculated condition if cut up into single notes. All have attestations on the back by ABNC certifying the history and background of each note. Rare in this format. Indiana, 1858. Lot of 3 Obsolete Banknotes, Includes: $1, $2, and $5, All 3 notes are mounted on a single page and have had additional water colors added. All notes have vibrant colors and have small vignettes on each end with a large image in the center, Notes are in VF to AU condition and are mounted on lined paper. They possibly could be soaked, but the paint may run. (3 mounted on 1 sheet). Folsom’s College, 1876, $2, Issued Obsolete College Currency note, Black on light green underprint of school buildings in middle with red seal at right and black counterfoil on left, back in same colors with different design, with sayings about the teaching of scientific bookkeeping. The school was located at 53 North Pearl St., Albany, NY. The note grades Choice AU to Uncirculated but there is a 4mm tear on the top right margin near the serial number that is very difficult to see and a small 2 mm split at the fight border that appears as an ink mark.
