Banco Italiano, Montevideo 50 Centesimos, P-S202ap1 and S202ap2. Front and Back Proof printed on india paper that is unmounted, Black on green underprint with Gaucho on horse with cattle and sheep at center while back is bright orange. Both Proofs are PMG graded. The face is graded Uncirculated 60 NET with comment “paper damage”, minor ink with a 1 inch triangular piece missing on the bottom and evidently archivally repaired by the banknote company years ago. Back is graded About Uncirculated 50 NET with comment “corner missing, minor rust”. Only 3 issued examples have appeared at auction previously and this is the only Obverse and Reverse proof offered at auction and the only graded example in the PMG census. ABNC.
