ND (ca.1919). $1, P-S423p1 Unlisted and S423p2 Unlisted, S/M#M10- 50a, Front and Back Proof banknotes, the Front Proof is Orange on m/c with screaming eagle on building flanked by 2 world globes, the Back Proof is dark green with similar vignette, both printed on india paper mounted on large thin card, the Front Proof with 2 small POCs in signature area that are still present, the Front Proof is PMG graded Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ and the Back Proof is Choice Uncirculated 64 due to a 1 mm thin on the top left margin. This lovely note is the highest graded note to be offered at auction and is the highest graded note in the PMG census where only 2 notes have been graded since these were first offered in the 1991 Christie’s-ABN Archives Auctions.
