Lot of 3, I/C Capital Stock Certificates for various share amounts, all signed by Johns Hopkins as president. Black printing on black border, Locomotive L-R at top flanked by allegorical women, POCs in signature, VG to Fine condition with toning, Printers: Toppan, Carpenter, Casilear & Co. All are signed by Johns Hopkins. He was a major entrepreneur, abolitionist and philanthropist. He founded many organizations and institutions most notably, Johns Hopkins University and Hospital. At the start of the Civil War one of the first campaigns was planned at his home.
