Both are Large Die Proof variations of a seated cherub reading and looking at world globe with jug in background, both are 6 x 9 inches, printed on india on large card, one of the proofs has noted in pencil at bottom in Smillie’s hand, “GFC Smillie - After finishing by S Delmore? November 1877”, both with foxing and toning, These were engraved by Smillie while working for ABNC. Rare proof variations of a Smillie engraving with his autograph.
