Ta-Ching Government Bank, proof vignette, Intaglio printed in black on india paper that is unmounted, 3 x 3.5 inches, of 2 large buildings used on the 1909, Ta-Ching Government Bank, $50, P-A78A (S/M#T10-33) issue which is only known as a specimen or proof, with no issued notes known; and, the 1918, Bank of China, $1, P-51B (S/M#C294-100.5) issues which is only known in proof format. The proof vignette is in a PMG holder with the title Ornate Building “Vignette” but is not graded but appears to be in Choice to Gem Uncirculated condition. This will be about as close as any collector will come to owning a related item to these banknote rarities. Both have different types of Chinese Pagodas possibly intended for or used on banknote designs by ABNC. Further research required. Both are engraved and printed by ABNC.
