POCs over Jay Gould signature at bottom right. Fine to VF condition with staining at top, and pronounced fold lines with some wear. Signed by Jay Gould as President on the front of the bond, with 3 POCs and one full untouched signature as an officer of the company on the back. Jason Gould (May 27, 1836 - December 2, 1892) was an American railroad magnate and financial speculator who is generally identified as one of the robber barons of the Gilded Age. His sharp and often unscrupulous business practices made him one of the wealthiest men of the late nineteenth century.
