New York and Pennsylvania, 1860, Lot of 2 different Intaglio printed letterheads by ABNC branches that are both addressed to Titus Eddy & Co., Ink manufacturers in Troy New York. Includes: New York, Jan. 25, 1860 Letterhead from the New York officethat is requesting 2 barrels of Calcined Black (ink) with the letter signed by Wm. H. Whiting from the firmWellstood, Hay & Whiting, the letterhead design is relatively simple with a curved “Office of the American Bank Note Co.”, title curved on top with the New York location; and, Philadelphia, June 19th, 1860. Letter to Eddy requesting a bill with the letter signed by Henry Perkins from the firm Danforth, Perkins & Company. The letterhead has ornate lettering on top listing Robert Draper as Manager and Henry Perkins as Secretary and Treasurer over the comapny name with listing of the companies making up ABNC on the left and the office branch locations on the right. This is an early rare variety of ABNC letterhead. Both are in VF to XF condition. ABNC.
