Lot of 3 pieces, ca. 1890s-1940s: Series of 1899 Silver Certificate $1 and $2 notes were used, the $2 Silver Certificate used as a Short Snorter with various names written throughout; and the $1, 1899 Silver Certificate with a long interesting love letter, written on both sides. beginning with “No relief check to date and...broke so unable to buy any stationary therefore excuse me for using this piece of rag to write on to you.”; and, a $1 Series of 1935A Hawaii Emergency Issue used as a Short Snorter, The $2 note is repaired with tape in middle and the other 2 notes are in Fine to VF condition with signs of wear. Sold “As is” No returns accepted. Deserves further research as far as location and dates.
