Ireland. 1866-1867, $10 Uncut pair in sheet of 2 notes, Partially issued, Black on green underprint, portrait of “Wolfe Tone” at lower left and “Davis” at lower right with dramatic eagle on mountain in middle, small red seal at left with clover leaf, S/N 4347 - 4348, pp A and pp B, back green, printed by Continental Bank Note Co., the top note has a slight internal indentation, if the notes were cut apart, the bottom note would grade Gem Uncirculated or better and the top note Choice AU, both appear with bright colors, crisp paper, and sharp corners. The Fenian Brotherhood were a committed group of Irish nationalists who attempted an unsuccessful rebellion in the 1860s.
