Minnesota, $1000 Specimen 1st Mortgage 3 1/2% Gold Coupon Bond, Black on green border and underprint, Track workers on side of tracks with approaching train, young woman at bottom, Extremely attractive and dramatic appearing bond, only 2 bonds were found in archives, This is also the photographed bond in Cox from one of my early auctions in 2007 to 2009. Unique $1000 First Mortgage, Production Proof Bond with hand written text, Black intaglio printing on india paper, the bond text is entirely written lightly in pencil as well as some design features which would be incorporated into the final design and is part of the bond production process, Train passing from left to right on tracks at top center, ornate title, VF condition with some staining from glue as well as archival reinforced splits on the back, still a unique proof production bond.
