Canceled in red pink, Fine condition with some staining along left side and some signs of wear along bottom margin. Early issue stock certificate. ������������������������������������ Est. $70-110 757 757 Pullman’s Palace Car Co., 1881 I/C Stock Certificate signed by Horace Porter Illinois. 100 Shares Capital Stock I/C Certificate, Black print on orange border and under tint, Cherub at top center flanked by two large buildings; Signed by Horace Porter as Vice-President, (1837 – 1921). Porter was an American soldier and diplomat who served as a lieutenant colonel, ordnance officer and staff officer in the Union Army during the American Civil War, personal secretary to General and President Ulysses S. Grant. He also was secretary to General William T. Sherman, vice president of the Pullman Palace Car Company and U.S. Ambassador to France from 1897 to 1905.
