Montana, 1904. Pair of Police Court documents on the same piece of paper, double-sided, which discusses a pair of misdemeanors committed in the City of Philipsburg, Montana. Both outline the crimes committed and have been signed by a Police Judge. Document 201 regards the charging of Frankie Frankling for being named an inmate of a “house of prostitution” despite local ordinances. Document 202 regards a complaint made against a Mr. Judge, and mentions the “Crystal Saloon” in the city of Philipsburg. Very interesting pair of legal documents. ��������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� Est. $100-200 EPHEMERA - HISTORIC AUTOGRAPHS England 507 507 Thomas Coutts 1806 Receipt, Debenture & Ephemera Trio England...., 1806. 3 pieces: Receipt and Debenture handwritten document pair, both signed by Thomas Coutts, embossed stamp at left. The debenture is a property in Jamaica belonging to a John Hinchcliffe. Also included is a small 4.5 x 1.75 piece with a written closing to a letter or document, followed by Coutts signature. All 3 pieces are in Very Fine condition, especially considering their age. Thomas Coutts (7 September 1735 - 24 February 1822) was a British banker who was the founder of the banking house of Coutts & Co, which is in business to this day. A 19th century merchant ship, the Thomas Coutts, bore his name. (3) ( John E. Lot of 2 pieces, Includes: Colorful teal and gold invitation on coated cardstock regarding a “Testimonial by the Citizens of Philadelphia to Louis Kossuth, Gov. of Hungary, December 1851” with the quote “There is nothing difficult to him who wills,” Features an eagle at top center with allegorical patriotic women at left and right, VF condition with some staining and adhesive damage on back; Also includes a corresponding embossed envelope with gold text reading “Complimentary Banquet to Governor Kossuth by the Citizens of Philadelphia, at the Musical Fund Hall, December 26th, 1851, VF condition with toning and stains on back. Louis Kossuth (19 September 1802 - 20 March 1894) was a Hungarian nobleman, lawyer, journalist, politician, statesman and governor-president of the Kingdom of Hungary during the revolution of 1848-49. He was widely honored during his lifetime, including in Great Britain and the United States, as a freedom fighter and bellwether of democracy in Europe.
