The Ogden Sugar Company was incorporated on December 6, 1897 at the Weber Club in Ogden, Utah. Directors included David Eccles as president. They refined sugar beets. Eccles was a Mormon who was also the first Millionaire in Utah. He made his fortune in railroad and related industries in Oregon and Utah.
