Only listed as a specimen in Cox with only 3 found in the American Bank Note Archives in 2002. Lot of 2 Bonds, Both are Beech Creek Railroad-related Specimen Bonds: One is 1886 $1000 4% First Mortgage Coupon Bond for the Beech Creek Railroad Company in green with a small train vignette at top. The other is not dated, $10,000 Registered 4% Consolidated Mortgage Gold Bond for the Beech Creek Extension Railroad Company in navy blue with a train approaching station vignette at top and coal miners at work at the bottom. Both have red specimen overprints, serial numbers, and POC’s and in VF condition. Printed by ABNC. Listed railroad company in Cox but no bond listed by this printing company. The Lehigh Line is now owned by the Norfolk Southern Railway and has lost its trackage miles between Manville, New Jersey, and Newark, New Jersey. Rare as specimens.
