Introduction to the Sale Foreword On behalf of the entire Archives International Auctions team, I would like to personally welcome you to our 74th auction and our second auction of 2022. We are excited to offer over 700 lots of rare and desirable U.S., Chinese, & Worldwide Banknotes, Scripophily, U.S. Colonial Banknotes, Colonial Connecticut Fiscal Documents, Historic Ephemera, and Security Printing Ephemera. We are also offering rare and desirable numismatic pieces consigned from various estates and long- time collections, with many of them having never been offered previously at auction. The auction will be held over one day and include 440 world banknotes; 14 lots of U.S. Colonial banknotes and Colonial Connecticut fiscal documents; 58 lots of U.S. Obsolete, Large and Small Type banknotes, Historical Ephemera and Security Printing Ephemera; and over 210 lots of U.S. and World Scripophily featuring railroads, mining, banking & finance, historic bonds & shares, and numerous other topics with many lots to numerous to highlight. Our next auction will be held mid to late-March 2022. We are now working on and actively seeking consignments for our Late Winter and early Spring 2022 auctions to include U.S. and World Banknotes, Coins, Scripophily and Security Printing Ephemera as well as desirable numismatic & philatelic items.
