Lot of 4 notes, includes a quartet of different polymer advertising “100” DuraNote test/advertising notes, with the same oil rig subject on the front, and horses pulling wagons on the back. All with different security features on the right including Maple leaf clear window, crisscross clear windows; clear window with multicolor globe, and triangle window. All are in Choice to Gem Uncirculated or better. These were pioneer polymer notes that were produced as an experiment to replace paper for paper money. The first 10 Units denomination, featuring Russian writer Aleksandr Pushkin as subject, Cyrillic text (sample arrangement of letters without any meaning); the second features an allegorical woman’s head at left, and arms in cycloid engraving on right, “CUT PAK” and “50” denomination at center, also the text “De La Rue Giori S.A. - Bielomatik”, back has miscut banknote “Casa Da Moeda Do Brasil”. Vignette of Allegorical man on left and liberty in profile on right in brownish purple. ‘Casa Da Moeda Do Brasil” micro imprint below bottom border; and the last also featuring allegorical woman and the word TESTSCHEIN, identical front and back. Unc with annotations on two of the notes. One side features the colorful portrait of a man with allegorical women that appears to be litho printed; The other side has the portrait of an allegorical warrior woman with winged helmet and appears to be intaglio printed in gray-black, possibly depicting Britannia, AU condition.
