Palestine. 1 September 1927, Palestine Currency Board, £5, P-8a, TBB PCB B3a, red serial number A001220, the lowest serial number known for this issue, red-orange and pale green, The White Tower at Ramleh at left, value at each corner, reverse green, the Citadel of Jerusalem at center, value at left and right and center. Of the four dates possible for collectors, the 1927 issue is the rarest with only just around 15 examples currently known. Some staining, but an original PMG graded Very Fine 25 with note of stains and annotation. A landmark rarity and a centerpiece that will greatly enhance any collection it enters.
