Remainder or Specimen banknote, 5 Lire, ND (1871), P-Unlisted denomination from the similar banknote series of the Banca Del Popolo beginning with P-S941, 10 Lire to P-S945, 100 Lire, all are unpriced in the SCWPM in any form and are not listed as known issued. This note should probably be given the designation P-S940, if cataloged. Listed denominations in the SCWPM begin at 10 Lire. Black on light blue underprint, portraits of gentlemen on top, cameo portraits on lower corners, back black with woman’s portrait in middle, large margin counterfoil on left with serial number also present on note with S/N “400010” in red twice on the face of note. Perforated on top, imperf on left, right and bottom. Listed as a remainder on the PMG holder but it is a specimen that was held for reference in the Bradbury archives. Extremely rare in any form.
