Fine condition with toning along margins. In 1862, Ben Holladay purchased the bankrupt Overland Mail Company and renamed it the Holladay Overland Mail and Express Company. Holladay was an American transportation businessman responsible for creating the Overland Stage to California during the height of the 1849 California Gold Rush.
