A lovely specimen from a series that was printed in 1977 using the design as the brown 20 Dinars then in circulation, but in blue color instead, as it was intended for use as an emergency issue. This emergency came in 1991 in relation to the Gulf War, and the blue 20 Dinars were briefly released in circulation, until they were quickly replaced in 1992 with an entirely new series. This type is scarce as an issued note but quite rare as specimen as it was not widely distributed to official authorities. Graded Gem New 65 PPQ by PCGS. Est. $2500-3750 Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Transnistria, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan & Ukraine 289 289 Various Former USSR Issuing Authorities. 1990s-2000s.
