A private banknote issued by Shuangchengxing Bank in Loudiji Town, Qiyi County, Shandong Province in 1928. The center of the front side shows denomination of 1 string, with drawings of oriental gardens on both sides. The serial number is left blank, and the date is shown on the left side. The bottom side shows seals from the bank and the name of the printer as well as statement “unnamed note”. The back side shows a bridge, as well as the bank name”Swang Ching Hing & Co”. in English, and “no payment in the evening” . 山東棲 邑樓底集雙成興錢莊於1928年印行之壹吊錢莊票。正面中心為面值，兩側為 園林圖。右側號碼留白，左側為年號。下方有錢莊印章及代印廠名，及“認 票不認人”。背面為石橋圖景，有英文行名及中文“燈下不付”。 �������� Est. $110-180 76 76 Rural Salvation Committee, 1937 Issue Private Banknote Pair. A Debt Certificate issued by the Merchants Association of Taihe Town from an unknown county. No date but presumably 1948- 1949. The text on the face is “Now we temporarily owe Mr. (blank) 1 jiao of Gold Yuan”. Seals on the left side are of the chair of the Merchants Association and the chair of the Labor Union. Text on the back describes regulations. Serial number is 56862. VG condition with faults, tears and splits.
