Hupmobile was an automobile built from 1909 through 1939 by the Hupp Motor Car Company of Detroit. The prototype was developed in 1908 and had its first successful run on November 8 with investors aboard for champagne at the Tuller Hotel a few blocks away. The company was incorporated in November of that year. The first Hupmobile model, the Hupp 20, was introduced at the 1909 Detroit automobile show. The Parenti was designed by J. S. Parenti president of the new company and formerly with The Fiat Automobile Company of Italy. Parenti worked for Lozier, Packard and Hudson before starting up his new American Automobile company. Two different Parenti were produced. A 5 passenger Parenti Touring car with a 123 inch wheelbase that was priced at $2,000.00. In addition a 5 passenger Sedan also with a 123 inch wheelbase that was priced at $3,000.00. Later a town car and a limousine were added to the line up. The Parenti was powered by a eight cylinder air cooled engine of their own design. In 1922 a water cooled Falls Six cylinder was used. In 1923 The Parenti Motors Corporation went into receivership. Despite claims of thousands of Parenti’s sold actual production was limited.�������� Est. $70-130
