Lot includes 5 bonds that are all Specimen Series A 5% Convertible First and Refunding Mortgage Gold Bonds: Includes 1 Gold coupon Bonds, a $500 Coupon Bond in Brown vertical format; and the rest are Registered Gold Bonds, Includes $500 Bond in Purple horizontal format; $1000 Bond in Blue horizontal format; $5000 Bond in Green horizontal format; $10,000 Bond in Orange horizontal format. All feature the same illustrations of a train flanked by farming and logging scenes. All have red specimen overprints, “00000” serial numbers, are in VF condition, and Printed by ABNC. The $1000 Bond in Blue and $10,000 Bond in Orange are unlisted in Cox and Very Rare, the balance are only known as specimens, no issued examples known.
