Archives International Auctions - Sale 58 13 April 7-8,2020 Archives International Auctions www.archivesinternational.com CHINA - EMPIRE/MILITARY 84 84 Provincial Bank of Hupeh, 1 Yuan 1929 with imprints used as a Military Note. 1929 年湖北省銀行一元加蓋豫鄂皖贛四省農民銀 行軍票 Hankow, China. 1 Yuan, P-A88 S/M#S110-20, (A Provincial Bank of Hupeh 1 yuan banknote overprinted on P-S2104), Issued in 1929, with red very small imprints on the face. The imprint indicated that this is a military note. The main figure on the face is a tower. The serial number is 925922A. The red text imprinted is: “to be cashed by the Four-Provinces Farmers Bank or Provincial Bank of Hubei in Hankou, Hubei province.” The back side shows the bank name, denomination, serial number, date and issuing city Hankow. Good to GVG with faults, splits, high wear, but still extremely rare and first time offered by us.
