Uruguay, 1 page of proofs printed on india paper and pasted onto front and back page taken from a NBNC sample book. There are over 35 items on the 2 pages (1 sheet of paper with items on face and back), Highlights include Uruguay, 1876, banco Maua & Co., Proof backs of the 50 and 100 Pesos notes, P-S320 and S321, both extremely rare in any form; also included are numerous related engraved items to the bank including counters and titles; other items include U.S. Match & Medicine and Tax Paid related items, mostly good with wrinkling of the paper as well as tears, stains and other faults, still a unique and historic relic from this historic printing company eventually taken over by ABNC in the late 1870’s. Bolivar on left and Sucre at right, Printed in purple on paper with multi-color silk fibers and 1 vertical security thread running vertically through the right middle of each note. All with blank back. Pencil line on bottom from production department. The 4 top notes are Uncirculated to Choice Uncirculated or better with the 2 bottom notes with a light horizontal fold thus they grade Choice XF to AU condition. Rare in this format.
