The Bodie and Benton Railway line ran from Bodie, California to Mono Mills, California and had branches to the Woodyard and Standard Mine. Its length ran 36 miles. The Standard Mine was originally named the Bunker Hill mine in 1861 when it was first registered. In 1894, the town of Yerington, Nevada, was established near the Walker River in Mason Valley in the east-central portion of Lyon County, Nevada. Canada & New York, Lot of 2 items, Includes 1864, £200, 1st Mortgage 6% Coupon Bond, Issued and punch cancelled, View of Niagara falls at top middle, Red seal LL, Counterfoil at left with Canadian supported arms, Black printing with red underprint, Fine condition with toning and a few small internal splits at folds, still a rare bond and first time seen by the cataloger. Also included is an 1804 print, 8.5 x 7.5 inches titles “Falls of Niagara on the River St. Lawrence in Canada” and dated 1804. The image is of the falls with Native Indians watching it, Fine condition with slight foxing. The railroad is listed in Cox. Evidently they only issued bonds and this is the only variety known.
