The collection includes railroads belonging to the B&O, C&O, L&N, Atlantic Coastline, Seaboard, NewYork Central, Western Maryland, Pere Marquette, and others. Made up of over 400 pieces, this collection begun in 1993, continued up until 2008.  His goal was to obtain a single stock or bond certificate representing each predecessor company.  Stephen is the retired president of CSX Real Property, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the CSX Corporation. He searched far and wide and for many issues, specimens and proofs were the only evidence of the different railroad lines existence. A number of issued examples are also extremely rare and if not unique, rarely seen by serious collectors and dealers. There are many outstanding bonds and shares in this collection that have not been seen the light of day for many years if not decades including some new to the hobby.
